Amanda Wigglesworth

Amanda has a BA (Hons) in History of Art & Design with Practice from Manchester Metropolitan University. She first gained exposure in 2003, when she was a prize winner at Birmingham Royal Open. Since then, she has exhibited in Cheshire, Harrogate and London and has corporate collections in Manchester.

Anita Mistry - Its a Mistry

Itsamistry Design Studio specialises in hand crafted jewellery, made mainly from sterling silver, combined with semi precious stones, artisan or glass beads, Swarovski or Czech crystals.

Anita designs and custom makes a unique range of her own designs, where no two pieces of jewellery are the same or designs bespoke pieces incorporating client’s ideas and themes.The product range includes necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets and hairpieces and is now being diversified into cake jewellery. Anita has also turned her previous art and card-making hobby into ideas for Wedding themed ranges starting with Wedding invitations, place settings, seating plans, Wedding Albums, then, extending the same theme into cake decorations or cake jewellery, working together with local cake designer Virginia Valentine.

Anita has also been invited to submit a craft jewellery project recently for a National Craft Magazine, gaining contacts overseas, and was subsequently asked to run a workshop in the USA and is further developing a series of workshops at her studio for adults and children from age 8 upwards.

Andy is Broadstone Mill’s resident picture framer. He is actively serving the framing needs of the Resident Artists in the Mill, and the wider community. His bespoke service finds the right solutions for each piece of work, at affordable prices. Fikle and Small Frie

Artists Sarah Keeler and Lucy Wainwright, otherwise known as Fikle and Small Frie are designer-makers who live in Manchester and try, wherever possible to use recycled materials for their work.

“Only when future societies excavate the remnants of our civilisation will the madness of consumerism fully come to light. They won’t dust away spearheads or bronze utensils and marvel at our ingenuity, but bits of broken plastic and carrier bags”

We believe in using recycled, vintage or reclaimed materials in our work from cards to jewellery, clothes and accessories. There’s far more satisfaction in finding a new use for a much loved button or turning a tired-looking shirt into a lovely new bag than just grabbing something new from a shop and it’s great to be able to look at something and say ‘that used to be a skirt, some earrings and a hat and now it’s a brooch!’

Before we throw something away we always consider what else it could be made into or used for and we’re always pleased when we save something going to landfill but we are careful not to hoard rubbish and ensure all our work is finished to the highest quality so that buyers don’t feel they are getting anything ‘second rate’ just because the materials aren’t new.

Tricksy Pixie

Tricksy Pixie is a freelance fantasy artist and illustrator specialising in creating fairy portraits (which depicts the subject as a beautiful fairy), illustrations for childrens books and art classes and private 1 to 1 tutition.

Tricksy has recently set up The Tricksy Pixie Art club, where children can learn about painting and drawing fairies and flowers and all things fantasy. She will teach them about colour theory and the fundamentals of drawing.

Children can join the Tricksy Pixie Club for £14.95 and join in all the online fun i.e.
upload their art on the Goblin Gallery and leave messages for their friends
