Reddish

An area of the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport, in Greater Manchester. Reddish grew and developed rapidly during the Industrial Revolution and still retains landmarks from that period, such as the former textile mills, Broadstone and Houldsworth.

The area features an array of local, owner-run shops and other businesses and is next to Houldsworth Village.

Reddish is now home to the Stockport Boost Centre which focuses on construction based courses. As part of the Stockport Boost campaign, this centre offers local people the chance to learn new skills, improve the skills they already have and help them find their way back into employment.
