What is Houldsworth Village?

Houldsworth Village is an area of Reddish, in Stockport, South Manchester. It is an old industrial village that incorporates Victorian terraces, Houldsworth Square and Broadstone Mill, Houldsworth Mill and Victoria Mill. Combined these provide flexible business space to work in, affordable apartments to live in and a beautiful area to relax in.

Aim

Houldsworth Village aims to become a lively urban village location, with work currently ongoing to develop improved housing, employment and business development opportunities, alongside top quality leisure and commercial facilities. 

Vision

The vision forms an important element of Stockport’s key objective of ‘making Stockport a major economic force in the region.’

Future

Work on the future of the Houldsworth Village area is already underway, with Stockport Council and other partners working together to draft long-term plans for Houldsworth Village.
